Describe
your spiritual journey so far.
I was raised as a Catholic, but in High School I began to want to
understand more about God. I began to read the bible and
discovered
that I didn't have all the answers. As a young adult I gave my
life to
God and He has given me quite the journey! I've done everything
from
recording a Christian Rock CD to trying to have a "full quiver".
What was one of the must
crucial points along the way?
Realizing that faith is not doctrine. We need to test our beliefs
before we can make then our own. Otherwise, we are only standing
on
the faith of others.
How has Sojourn changed
your idea of what church is?
The church should never be a list of things that "need to
happen". (i.e.
- songs, sermon and salvation). Church is amorphous and needs to
change when the spirit asks it to. There is no "one right way" to
do
church. The church is a living thing that moves, grows and
develops.
Describe your ideal
weekend.
Hmmmm... fresh coffee, sunshine and 74 degrees, wonderful food.... the
Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego. I could spend my day walking
around
the shops, resting in the shade with a margarita, reading a good book,
watching the sunset over the bay. My hobby is enjoying life.
