adriance Describe your spiritual journey so far. I was born and brought up Christian (protestant). I've always believed I was 'saved by grace'. I haven't had any lightning bolt revelations spiritually. If I've had any negative experiences, they have been human induced and although painful, they haven't caused my faith in God to waver.... just my faith in humankind. What was one of the must crucial points along the way? ... a falling-out with a church I had been a member of for 15+ years. It has been difficult for me to embrace a 'church' family ever since. How has Sojourn changed your idea of what church is? Sojourn gatherings give me time, space and 'permission' to develop my creativity as it relates to worship. Describe your ideal weekend. I enjoy spending time with friends, I like playing music, and keeping myself free of 'household obligations' in order to do something fun at the drop of a hat! Coffee or Tea? Good strong coffee. Tea reminds me of being sick... that's what my mom gave me whenever I wasn't feeling well. Have you ever worn a Speedo in public? ... It wasn't a Speedo, but while on a recent caribbean cruise, I sunbathed in a discount bikini (50% off). Did you ever have a relative who covered their furniture with clear plastic? Yes... and they covered their rug with a plastic runner, too. How do you vacuum that? Did you cry when Old Yeller died? Oh yeah... but I even cry at sappy commercials! What is your least favorite word? "offended"... as in, "I'm offended". It sounds haughty. Have you figured out the meaning behind the movies: 2001: Space Odyssey, Eraserhead and A Clockwork Orange? Making money? |
